TEMIC - Ceiba [CD]

TEMIC, an international supergroup featuring members from prominent bands like Devin Townsend, Mike Portnoy's Shattered Fortress, The Neal Morse Band, Haken, Shining, and Maraton, delivers their mighty and magical follow-up album, 'Ceiba'. This heavy metal release delves into profound themes of mortality and loss, drawing inspiration from Mayan culture where the titular tree symbolizes a connection between the earth, heaven, and underworld.

Album Highlights:

• The album opens with 'Ashes,' a track that immediately immerses the listener in thunderous riffs and explores themes of loss with a powerful chorus.
• 'Broken' offers a more introspective look at the end of a codependent relationship, enhanced by ethereal synth textures.
• The lead single, 'Ceased To Be,' masterfully blends progressive technicality with divine melodies, assuring listeners that 'Your soul will never die.'
• The 10-minute closing track, 'As Long As We Last,' showcases TEMIC's expansive sound with swaying leads, towering clean vocals, and a solid groove, culminating in an epic solo that lingers long after the song ends.

With 'Ceiba,' TEMIC continues to branch out musically, offering a thunderous ode to progressive metal that is both philosophically deep and sonically engaging.
