The Mangler (1995) - Blu-ray Special Edition [Blu-ray]

IT WILL SCARE THE SHEET OUT OF YOU! Master of Horror Tobe Hooper (The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Salem’s Lot) returns to the works of Stephen King with this baroque and blackly comic adaptation of The Mangler. When a worker at Gartley’s Blue Ribbon Laundry is gruesomely pulled into the industrial laundry press and folded like a sheet, police officer John Hunton (Ted Levine, The Silence of the Lambs) investigates. As more bizarre deaths occur under the watchful eye of the enigmatic owner Bill Gartley (Robert Englund), Hunton teams up with his demonologist brother-in-law Mark Jackson (Daniel Matmoor) to uncover the truth. Is the machine possessed, or is the town harboring a far darker secret? Bold, brash, and politically charged, The Mangler channels the spirit of EC horror comics while skewering the dehumanizing machinery of capitalism.
