Description

Porcupine Meat is a two-disc album by Bobby Rush, the blues, soul and funk artist known for his work on the Southern music scene. It brings together all-new compositions, with down-and-dirty funk, deep blues and slippery R&B.

Produced by Grammy-winning Scott Billington, the album features guest guitar solos from Keb' Mo', Joe Bonamassa and Dave Alvin. Rush’s career spans the Chicago blues scene of the 1950s, and his music also encompasses the style he calls “folk-funk”.

Standout songs include the funk of “I Don't Want Nobody Hanging Around”, the playful “Catfish Stew”, the deep blues of “Got Me Accused” and the title track.
