Various Artists - Café Del Mar Jazz 2 Audio CD

An album that showcases the inventiveness of an essential recording of fine electro-jazz, ideal for all Café Del Mar collectors. This compilation brings together work from several top European producers, blending sounds and styles deeply connected to London's electronic scene, the Parisian/American jazz-house community, and Germany's earthy breakbeat maestros. Curated by Toni Simonen, it delivers a cohesive and engaging experience that appeals to both electro beat enthusiasts and jazz aficionados. Highlights include Jakatta's "The Other World" and Tom Middleton & The Karminski Experience's "The Sea." Featuring deep house, intricate breaks, and down-tempo grooves, the album redefines the electro-jazz movement with ambient influences and emotional depth. Tracks like "Timeless" and "Zeus" emphasize jazz-inspired excursions with rich, soulful arrangements. Vocals are used tastefully, and instrumental backings remain sensitive and minimal, allowing soloists to shine. A modern "cosmic" vibe runs throughout—soulful, warm, and imaginative, yet never skittish.
