LAKE - Four [audioCD]

LAKE makes an impressive return with their new album 'FOUR', arriving exactly 50 years after their debut. This release showcases a band with a unique international history, originating between Husum and Hamburg in the early 1970s. LAKE established an exceptional sound in Germany, characterized by elegant Westcoast rock, layered arrangements, and multi-part vocal harmonies heavily influenced by American styles rather than the contemporary German rock scene.

The 2026 lineup features Rob Reynolds, Ian Cussick, Alex Conti, Martin Tiefensee, Geoffrey Peacey, and Detlef Petersen, delivering a blend of groove-oriented uptempo tracks and heartfelt ballads. 'FOUR' demonstrates LAKE's ability to combine complex harmonies with direct rock energy, maintaining stylistic versatility while presenting a clear, contemporary statement rather than a nostalgic look back.
