Sigh - Goh-ka [Transparent Red Double Vinyl]

Experience the epic new studio album from the long-standing Japanese metal pioneers, Sigh. 'Goh-ka' is a meticulously arranged masterpiece of metallic grandeur, blending atmosphere and technical mastery. This release features a guest appearance from Opeth's Mikael Åkerfeldt and is presented on transparent red double vinyl with a gatefold sleeve, including a bonus track.

About the Album:

Formed in 1989/1990, Sigh has evolved from their Black Metal roots into vital creative forces in the avant-garde field, incorporating eclectic mixes of genre styles. 'Goh-ka' is considered a natural evolution and a diverse leap from their previous work, 'Shiki'. Main-man Mirai Kawashima describes the album as deeply personal, musically and lyrically. Imagine a cauldron stirred with ingredients from Celtic Frost, Voivod, Black Sabbath, horror movies, and Japan, infused with psychedelic rock, prog rock, and classical music. The album's title, 'Goh-ka', holds a triple meaning: infernal fire, the end-of-time world-burning fire, and karma. The primary theme explores Kuso-zu, Buddhist paintings depicting the stages of decomposition to encourage meditation on life's impermanence and the inevitability of death.
