John Woo's 1992 masterpiece, Hard Boiled, is a hyperkinetic and hyperviolent exemplar of the Heroic Bloodshed genre. This 4K UHD Blu-ray Special Edition allows audiences to experience the film's electrifying performances, elaborate narrative, and operatic gunfights in stunning detail.

About the Film:

In the 80s and 90s, director John Woo cemented his reputation as a master of action films with classics like A Better Tomorrow, The Killer, and Bullet in the Head. Hard Boiled, his 1992 culmination, stars iconic actor Chow Yun-Fat as Tequila, a gung-ho cop determined to bring down triad boss Johnny Wong (Anthony Wong). As Johnny attempts to recruit assassin Ah-Long (Tony Leung), Tequila finds himself taken off the case. Taking justice into his own hands, Tequila tracks Ah-Long, uncovering a complex web of deception that threatens to erupt into all-out war. The film is rightly exalted as the undisputed champion of Hong Kong action films.
