Mama's Broke - Reunion

For more than a decade, the Canadian duo Mama's Broke, comprised of Amy Lou Keeler and Lisa Maria, have cultivated a distinctive style that transcends geographical boundaries. Their forthcoming 12-song LP, Reunion, arrives after years of constant touring, bringing their folk-without-borders approach to intimate venues and DIY spaces across the landscape.

Reunion captures the essence of a world visibly fragmenting, exploring themes of fractured communities, the erosion of common ground, and the dawning realization that established systems no longer fulfill their intended promises. The songs offer reflection rather than prescription, holding up a mirror to society and creating space for new possibilities to emerge.

Sonically, Reunion unfolds with profound intimacy. These are songs best suited for quiet contemplation, perhaps shared around a campfire or in hushed, attentive rooms where every nuance is appreciated. The arrangements are deliberately delicate and stripped-back, allowing the haunting harmonies to linger, creating a timeless quality. The album feels less like a recording and more like a cherished memory, passed down through voices and held close. It evokes a sound that feels older than its surroundings, an enduring presence that feels as though it has always existed.

This 12-song LP is presented on vinyl, offering a warm and intimate listening experience.
