This new quartet recording by saxophone maestro Evan Parker is the first for many years to be released on vinyl. Captured live at London's legendary The Vortex on June 20th, 2019, and recorded the following day at Rimshot Studio in the Kent countryside, this album showcases Parker's deep improvisational mastery in a setting close to his home. Inspired by the atmosphere of Defoe's 'Journal of the Plague Year' during the first Covid lockdown, the album's themes are reflected in both its evocative track titles and Stephen Fowler's original rubber stamp artwork, created specifically for this release.

Accolades:
- This album is a joyous listen, and hearing four such natural improvisers engaging with each other closely yet retaining the individual voice of their own instrument and their characters is a wonderful thing to hear. - ***** The Free Jazz Collective
- "All Knavery and Collusion" is constantly stimulating, often beautiful. It presents a narrative where form, texture, concepts and emotion are intricately woven.
