Director Gabriela Cowperthwaite compiles shocking footage and emotional interviews to explore the extraordinary nature of orcas, the cruel treatment of the species in captivity, the lives and losses of trainers, and the pressures of the multi-billion dollar sea-park industry. This emotionally wrenching, tautly structured story challenges our relationship with nature and reveals how little we have learned from these highly intelligent and sentient mammals.
